ศูนย์เกาหลีศึกษา คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา ร่วมกับคณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ สมาคมไทยศึกษาแห่งสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม และคณะบัณฑิตวิทยาลัย จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้จัดการประชุมวิชาการร่วมระดับนานาชาติเกาหลีศึกษา-ไทยศึกษาขึ้น โดยใช้ชื่องานว่า “เกาหลีศึกษา-ไทยศึกษาในบริบทพหุวัฒนธรรม” (Korean Studies – Thai Studies in Multicultural Context) ระหว่างวันที่ ๒๘ – ๒๙ เดือนกรกฎาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๙ ณ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา จ. ชลบุรี เพื่อเป็นการเผยแพร่และแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับภาษาเกาหลีและเกาหลีศึกษา และภาษาไทยและไทยศึกษา ระหว่างนักศึกษา นักวิชาการและผู้สนใจ
